My satisfaction.

This blog post is a long time coming. And I'm so excited to finally share what the Lord has been doing in my life.

I recently read the book "Kisses From Katie" and let me be the first to say if you have not read it yet GO BUY IT. It entirely changed my life and outlook on the world. But there was one thing that Katie said over and over that really struck me. She said "I would not have been able to move to Uganda and be by myself if my satisfaction did not come from the Lord." And every time i read that it hit me really hard. I quickly realized all of my satisfaction did not come from the Lord. Maybe 45% of my satisfaction came from the Lord but not 100%. But then i had to figure out where i got my satisfaction from. Boys. No way, that can not be it. I would not be stupid enough to look to my relationships for my satisfaction. But, its true. Whatever mood i was in or how i felt that day always came back to if my boyfriend was happy with me. And that's the way it was with my boyfriend before that as well. So first i thought, Lord, can't i get my satisfaction from both. But quickly the Lord showed me that was not going to work. I have to be completely sold out for the Lord and that will fill the void in my heart that boys normally do.

Since i was 14 i have had 3 boyfriends, and only 2 weeks in between each relationship. So getting used to not having a boyfriend has been a strange transition for me. But the Lord is carrying me through it in his arms. Now, it would be a lie to tell you ever since i made the decision my life has just been wonderful and i never have sad days. But the Lord is so evidentally working in my life. In the past month i have felt the Lords presents in my life more than ever before. I suddenly have such an urge to read scripture and just be with Jesus. As where used to it was much more of chore. But i still can not brag about my love for Christ because i fail him every single day.

If you do not feel like you are sold out for the Lord, i encourage you to figure out what is keeping you from the Lord being you 100% satisfaction. And then getting rid of it and completely surrendering to Jesus. I can not promise you it will be an easy thing to do, but i can promise you the Lord will walk with you through it like never before.

Please keep me and my walk with the Lord in your prayers, He is doing great things but i have a ways to go. :)

Love y'all!

Picture update. :)

This blog post is so late but i have had so much stuff going on with me recently. Goodness gracious. I'm gonna blog in the next couple of days about that and about what God has been doing in my life. But for now i'm just gonna post some pictures. :)

Let's start with New Years. :)
We always blow everyone out of the neighborhood with all the fire works daddy buys. It's absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention the 6 year olds that light the fireworks. Never a dull moment thats for sure.

Then all the other pictures i have to post our from our youth trip to the mountains. I have been so blessed with my CCC family. Everyone single one of them are so precious. I have known a lot of them since day one at Christ City and i met a ton of them on this trip. I'm so thankful for every single one of them. :)

Recently.

I have so many things to blog about right now. But it is so hard to get my thoughts in order. This has been a crazy, emotional, and incredible couple of months. So where to begin...

For one it is starting to really scare me that all of my senior friends are going to college in 9 months. I can't even explain how i feel about this. It is just so weird that all of the people i have been friends with and are normally just 15 minutes away are going to be much farther than that. And it scares me for them to be so far away. Time just flies by so fast i feel like last month i was a freshman and my biggest worry with school was there was only one cute boy at my whole school, and now here i am 16 years old and that is the least of my worries. I have to think about real things like grades. Sometimes i just wish i was 4 years old again. And as ready as i am to be a wife and a mommy one day i just wish i could freeze time for a couple months.

Another thing that has been on my mind recently was if you knew you had 24 hours to live what would you do. We had to write a paper on it Literature a couple weeks ago and at first i thought this was a really random and pointless topic. But the point was that if we would do that on our last day why are we not doing it today because we are not promised out next second. Well i thought about that a little and thought about how true that is but then i moved on. Well yesterday i was in a little wreck that was almost huge. As i was pulling out onto 150 a truck pulled my front bumper off coming from my drivers side. (Yes, it was 100% my fault.) And even though my car does not look it's best right now, i'm fine. But if i would have not seen the truck at the last second and slammed on my breaks he would have hit my drivers door going about 50 mph. (After typing that out i just sat here for 30 seconds shaking.) Even the thought scares me so bad. It showed me how fast life can be taken from you. It just takes that one mistake. So for real think about what you would do with your last day. THEN GO DO IT.

A lot more has happened through the past couple months but it's late and i need sleep. (Yes, i go to bed now. How strange.) So i will blog soon and put up some pictures.

Goodnight to all, and to all a goodnight.
(OH i'm really excited about Christmas too.)
